Magic in Marrakesh: how our trip inspired the new collection
Anyone who's been to Marrakesh knows — this city isn’t just a destination, it’s a feeling. A dazzling blend of scents, colours, craftsmanship and stories. We travelled there with a mission: to soak up pure interior inspiration and find suppliers of authentic furniture, Beni Ouarain rugs, handcrafted décor and more. Spoiler alert: mission accomplished.
Riad Deluxe: sleeping in a dream
We stayed in a dreamy riad in the heart of the medina. A hidden gem with high ceilings, soft carpets, candlelight and a rooftop to get lost in. Each morning began with a Moroccan breakfast and fresh mint tea, surrounded by silence and sunlight dancing on mosaic tiles.
But what is a riad, actually?
A riad is a traditional Moroccan townhouse built around a central garden or patio. Originally home to merchant families, these houses were designed for privacy and peace. Today, many riads have been transformed into intimate guesthouses — a beautiful mix of old-world charm and modern comfort, often with a rooftop pool and home-cooked tagines.

From snake charmers to soft textiles
Our journey started at the iconic Jemaa el-Fna square, where snake charmers, fire performers, belly dancers and spice vendors fill the air with energy. We followed the smell of grilled meat and tasted local street food from one of the many night stalls.
The biggest surprise? How hard it was to find a cold beer — alcohol is rare and only served in certain places. Luckily, a cold cola was just as refreshing.

Meet Younes: our key to the souks
Finding the right contacts in Marrakesh isn’t easy. Thankfully, we had connected online with a local guide beforehand. Younes turned out to be perfect — part guide, part negotiator, part storyteller. He led us through the maze of souks to the hidden workshops where true craftsmanship lives. Thanks to his network, we discovered treasures well off the tourist track..

Treasure hunting in the Atlas
With Younes, we travelled deeper into the Atlas Mountains, where we found what we were truly looking for: women’s cooperatives weaving Beni Ouarain rugs in the traditional way — no pattern, no plan, just instinct and skill.
Each rug tells a story, woven from natural wool, with motifs born straight from the hands of the maker. We carefully selected a number of unique pieces, now featured in our collection. Each one made with love.
